Happy New Year!!
We had a very uneventful New Year's Eve. I worked until 4, then came home and just did nothing!! John had his friend Cole over to spend the night, and Ash was babysitting for Gannon and Gradyn. (She made $50, so it was a very profittable night for her!)
John wanted me to share that we all watched Robbie Maddison break the world record dirt bike jump. It was pretty cool to watch, but the hype leading up to it was BORING!
2007
We had lots of fun things happen in 2007. We added 3 new members to our family-Jay (Tom's cousin Lauren's new husband), Heather (Lynn's cousin Jake's new wife), and of course, Natalie! (my new niece). We had LOTS AND LOTS of great sporting events with our kids (and the other parents!-sometimes it is more fun to socialize than to actually watch the games!), a great vacation with our friends in Sturgeon Bay, the success of my mom's new hip, and lots of great times with our families and friends. For the most part we had great health (except the last couple of months), and we are thankful for that!
2008
Ashton seems to have the most changes on the horizon for 2008! Turning 14 and getting her permit (scary!), getting her braces off in March or April, starting high school, and (hopefully) seeing some freshman softball playing time.
John will have fun in 2008 also, I am sure. He told me he intends to do lots of snowboarding this winter, and he will have basketball and baseball to look forward to.
Welcome 2008!
