Vacation, part one-Lauren's wedding!

We started our vacation one week ago today. Tom's cousin, Lauren, was getting married on Saturday, and Ash and Tom were in the wedding. We headed to Mason City Friday afternoon so we could attend the rehearsal that night. Tom was an usher, along with his brother, and Ash was a candlelighter, along with her cousin, Hannah.

The wedding on Saturday was so nice. Lauren's husband, Jay, has had several cancerous tumors removed from his brain. He and Lauren were both so emotional during the ceremony. It is amazing how the vows that the rest of us take for granted take on new meaning when you are marrying someone with a possibly terminal disease.

Of course, I didn't get a picture with Ash and Hannah together in their dresses. I didn't even remember to take Ashton's picture until the reception was almost over. So, these pictures are taken from our room at the Holiday Inn!!
